Terms and Conditions
The essentials, explained clearly: how Exploideo works, what you can expect, and what we expect from you.
Last updated: March 10th 2026
Exploideo acts as a technological platform and intermediary between travelers and guides. Experiences are provided by the guide, and the service agreement for the activity is entered into directly between traveler and guide.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing and using Exploideo, you accept these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with them, you must not use the platform.
2. Description of the service
Exploideo connects travelers with local guides to facilitate the discovery, request, and booking management of experiences.
Exploideo acts exclusively as an intermediary technology platform and does not directly provide the advertised experiences, unless expressly stated otherwise in the future.
The information published for each experience is provided by the guide, who is responsible for its accuracy, legality, and updates.
3. User accounts
- You must provide truthful, up-to-date, and complete information when registering and using the platform.
- You are responsible for keeping your account and password confidential.
- You may not transfer your account or allow fraudulent or unauthorized use of it.
- Guides must complete the verification processes required by Exploideo before publishing experiences, when requested.
Important: Verification performed by Exploideo may include basic identity or profile checks, but it does not replace the guide's obligation to hold the licenses, insurance, permits, and legal requirements applicable to their activity.
4. Bookings and payments
- Bookings or booking requests are subject to the guide's explicit confirmation.
- Requesting an experience does not imply automatic confirmation.
- Payments may be processed through secure external payment providers.
- The total price of the experience and, where applicable, the relevant taxes, will be shown before the booking is completed or at the time of confirmation.
- The invoice or receipt, where applicable, may be issued in accordance with the information provided in the booking and applicable regulations.
Note: The actual provision of the experience is the guide's responsibility, not Exploideo's.
5. Cancellations, changes, and refunds
- Travelers may cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the experience, unless a different policy is clearly and previously indicated for a specific experience.
- Requests to change date, time, or conditions are subject to the guide's explicit acceptance.
- If the guide accepts the change, the booking will be updated in accordance with the new applicable conditions.
-
If the guide rejects a change request, the traveler may:
- Keep the original booking, or
- Cancel without penalty when the applicable policy on the platform so provides.
- If the guide cancels the experience or cannot provide it, the traveler will be entitled to the refund that applies under the applicable policy and payment status.
- Refunds, where applicable, will be processed through the same payment method used, unless technically or legally impossible.
- Payment posting times may depend on the payment provider or banking entity and do not always depend exclusively on Exploideo.
Important: Exploideo acts as a technical intermediary in the operational management of bookings, payments, and refunds when applicable, but is not considered the direct provider of the experience.
6. Responsibilities
- Guides: are responsible for the legality of the experience, its proper execution, safety, the information provided, and for holding licenses, permits, and insurance when required.
- Travelers: are responsible for providing accurate data, following the guide's reasonable instructions, and respecting safety and coexistence rules.
- Platform: facilitates technological intermediation between the parties, without directly carrying out the activity offered by the guide.
6.1 Outdoor activities and assumption of risk
- Some experiences may take place outdoors or involve physical activity, variable weather conditions, or risks inherent to the nature of the activity.
- The traveler is responsible for assessing whether their physical condition, experience, or personal circumstances are suitable for participating in the activity.
- The guide must clearly inform participants about requirements, difficulty, recommended equipment, and relevant safety conditions.
6.2 Transport and travel
- Exploideo does not provide transport services unless expressly stated in a specific experience.
- The traveler is responsible for their own transport to the meeting point or location where the experience takes place.
- The guide does not provide passenger transport unless they hold explicit legal authorization and this is clearly stated in the experience.
6.3 Incidents and disputes between users
In the event of a dispute between traveler and guide, both parties must attempt to resolve it in good faith.
Exploideo may intervene in a limited manner as a technical mediator or incident manager, but does not assume the position of a contractual party in the provision of the experience.
7. Content and reviews
- Reviews and ratings must be honest, truthful, and respectful.
- Publishing offensive, discriminatory, illegal, misleading content, or content that infringes third-party rights is not permitted.
- Exploideo may moderate, hide, or remove content when it reasonably considers that it breaches these terms or applicable law.
8. Limitation of liability
Exploideo does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the platform and may perform maintenance, updates, or improvements that involve temporary interruptions.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Exploideo shall not be liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, data loss, or incidents arising from the actions of the guide, the traveler, or third parties beyond its reasonable control.
Where legally applicable, Exploideo's maximum liability will be limited to the amount effectively paid through the platform in relation to the affected booking.
9. Intellectual property
The platform design, software, texts, trademarks, logos, and other protected elements belong to Exploideo or its licensors and may not be used without authorization.
10. Termination and suspension
Exploideo may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts when it detects breaches of these terms, fraudulent use, illegal activities, abuse of the platform, or risks to other users.
Users may also stop using the platform or request account deletion according to the functionalities available at any given time.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms shall be governed by Spanish law.
Any dispute shall be submitted to the courts and tribunals with jurisdiction under the applicable consumer and jurisdiction regulations.
12. Changes to these terms
Exploideo may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect legal, technical, or functional changes to the platform.
When changes are material, they will be communicated visibly within the platform or by reasonable means.
